Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Woodlawn Church in Columbia for Barbara Ruth Crawford Smith, 79, of Foxworth, who passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at her residence. Interment will be at Morgantown Cemetery in Morgantown. Pastor Jerron Carney, Rev. Daniel Livingston, and Rev. Joshua Pierce will officiate the services. Bro. Justin Conway and the Woodlawn Praise Team will provide special music.

The Smith family will receive guests on Friday afternoon from 3:00 pm up until the hour of service at 5:00 pm at Woodlawn Church.

Barbara was renowned for her exceptional talent as a seamstress, lovingly crafting all her children's clothes, a testament to her devotion and skill. Her deep affection for children was evident to all; she could always be found engaging with them, whether at church functions or family gatherings. A woman of unwavering faith, Barbara was a longtime, faithful member of Woodlawn Church. Her commitment extended to her time as Youth Director at Pine Grove United Pentecostal Church, where she brilliantly wove her creative spirit into numerous skits for the group. She was the epitome of a military wife to her beloved husband, Johnnie Gail Smith, supporting him with grace and strength. Barbara will also be remembered for her sharp wit and humor, which brought joy to countless lives, and for her compassionate years spent as a caretaker for the elderly. Her legacy of love, laughter, and service will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of 57 years, Johnnie Gail Smith; her Son, Wesley Smith; her Parents, Fred Hugh & Elsie Earline Carney Crawford; and one Sister, Patsy Williams.

She is survived by her two Sons, Parrish S. Smith (Tara), of Columbia, Patrick J. Smith (Blake), of Columbia; two Sisters, Hulene Terry (Randall) of Foxworth, Marion McDaniel (Glynn), of Saucier; five Grandchildren, Chandler Smith, Charleigh Williamson, Carter Smith, Camilla Smith, Brooke Graham; and six Great Grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith will be carried to her final resting place by those honored to serve as Pallbearers: Chandler Smith, Carter Smith, Michael McDaniel, Mitchell McDaniel, Austin Pierce, Dewayne Hamilton, and Tyler Phillips.
