Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Alvin McCraw, 63, of Columbia, who passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at his residence. Interment will be at Caney Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Allen Turnage will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mr. Alvin was a long-time resident of Marion County. He enjoyed being outdoors as much as his health would allow. His family and grandchildren were very near and dear to his heart. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Mr. McCraw was preceded in death by his Wife, Patricia McCraw; his Father, Cleveland O. McCraw; his Mother, Mary E. Batson Wright; one Sister, Myrtis Polk; two Brothers, Barney McCraw, Edward O. McCraw; and one Step-son, Michael Hopper.

He is survived by his Daughter, Danita Shoffner (Shawn), of Norman, Oklahoma; one Step-daughter, Krystal Gibbs, of Gulfport; one Step-son, Edward Hopper (Vicky), of Columbia; three Sisters, Peggy Turnage (Adrian), Bonnie McCraw, Mary Ann Johnson (Freddie); eight Grandchildren, Jayden Rushing, Taryn Rushing, Jerymiah Shoffner, Michael Hopper, Mary Hopper, Sidney Gibbs, Jerrica Atwood and Gabe.
