Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 9,2022, at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Ada Pittman, 92 of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, February 05, 2022. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Matt Robinson and Rev. Tom Thurman will officiate the services. Suzy Adams will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 09, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

In Ada's spare time she loved to cook, sew, and work sudoku puzzles.  In her early years she loved being in Golden Acres Garden Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Ada and Johnny Doyle ran Western Auto for many years.

She was preceded in death in 1994 by her husband of 44 years, Johnny Doyle Pittman; her parents; Readus & Lillie Bullock Bounds; four brothers, Albert Bounds; Aaron Bounds; Karo Bounds, Billy Joe Bounds; and two sisters, Daisy Bounds Whitlow (Bobby), Lou Bounds Smith (Delane).

She is survived by her son, Johnny Duane Pittman (Dianne), of Columbia;  her daughter, Jan Pittman Forren (Gary), of Louisville, KY; two  grandsons, Andrew Odom (Amabelle), of Louisville, KY and Patrick Odom, of Louisville, KY; five granddaughters, Celia Pittman Roman (Anthony), of Fairview, TN, Sarah Pittman Robinson (Matt) of Silver Creek, Shelley Pittman Griffin (Bryan), of Perkinston, Kelsey Forren, of Louisville, KY, Brittny Forren Ford (Collin), of Louisville, KY; four great granddaughters; Elizabeth Roman, Phoebe Robinson, London Camba, Riley Ford; five great grandsons; Caleb Roman, John Luke Roman, Samuel Robinson, Cannon Griffin, and Cade Griffin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Odom, Patrick Odom, Anthony Roman, Bryan Griffin, Joe Stuckey, and Tommy Pittman. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Roman , John Luke Roman, Samuel Robinson, Cannon Griffin, and Cade Griffin.
