The narrative has been written of a man who touched and influenced many in his own unique way. James Carney's true Christian character shined from the time we met him many years ago and then by observing him as District Superintendent and his involvement with Purpose Institute. May his legacy continue to influence future generations.

Sis Carney, Bro Jay, Bro Jeron and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief in the passing of Bro James. He was always an encouragement to me from my early days at Woodlawn. I loved to hear him preach, teach and sing. What a wonderful heritage you have in him who lived this great Apostolic truth. Sorry I could not be there for the memorial. Will greet you at a later time.

I was fortunate to be the tour bus driver for Brother Carney and many of his church family members on 2 occasions to Branson, Ms. I can say, without a doubt, that he and many others on that trip touched me in a way had ever felt and haven't again til tis day. I was very saddened to hear of his passing but I rest knowing the day will come soon when we will meet again in the glorious place that God has set before us. I will be praying for the entire family and congregation. God Bless!

My heart and love I give to the Carney Family. Reverend James Carney was a man who walked this earth in the love, integrity and admonition of Jesus Christ with his main goal being that of soul winning! He leaves behind a golden legacy that any one will be honored to follow! He had an innate ability for making people feel loved and important, which was a gift given him by God. Though he will be missed, knowing he has won the race and gained the prize brings comfort to the hearts of all who love and know him. God bless and strengthen the Carney Family today.
